Debris-flow Susceptibility Assessment in Flow-R: Ribnica River Case Study
Debris flows are among the most dangerous erosional geohazards due to the fast rate of movement and long runout zones. Even though the initiation can be triggered in mountainous areas, inhabited and with steep slopes, their propagation and deposition can endanger not only buildings and infrastructure in the urbanized areas, but also threaten human lives. As these initiation areas usually represent unattainable terrains with rapid vegetation cover development, field observations and aerial photo analysis become high-demanding tasks. Consequently, medium-to-regional ...Ksenija Micić, Miloš Marjanović, Biljana Abolmasov . Late and post-collisional tectonic evolution of the Adria-Europe suture in the Vardar Zone
The Vardar Zone is a product of the Triassic-Jurassic opening of the Neotethys, Jurassic obduction, Late Cretaceous/Paleogene consumption of the oceanic crust and continental collision. During the last process, the Eastern Vardar Zone was thrust over the Central and eventually both onto the Western Vardar Zone. The present paleomagnetic and structural study provided new results from the first two zones in the Belgrade area. The younger set of data, together with published ones from the third zone, provide firm ...Emő Márton, Marinko Toljić, Vesna Cvetkov. Preliminary regional landslide susceptibility assessment using limited data
Igor Peshevski, Milorad Jovanovski, Biljana Abolmasov, Jovan Papic, Uroš Đurić, Miloš Marjanović, Ubydul Haque, Natasha Nedelkovska (2019)In this paper a heuristic approach for preliminary regional landslide susceptibility assessment using limited amount of data is presented. It is called arbitrary polynomial method and takes into account 5 landslide conditioning parameters: lithology, slope inclination, average annual rainfall, land use and maximum expected seismic intensity. According to the method, in the first stage, a gradation is performed for each of the carefully selected conditioning parameters by assigning so called rating points to the grid cells on which the ...... Back-arc underplating provided crustal accretion affecting topography and sedimentation in the Adria microplate
Paolo Mancinelli, Vittorio Scisciani, Cristina Pauselli, Gérard M. Stampfli, Fabio Speranza, Ivana Vasiljević (2021)Supported by evidence of deep crustal sources for the observed magnetic anomalies in Central Italy and by outcropping gabbros in the Croatian archipelago, we model the observed gravity and magnetic anomalies in the Central Adriatic Sea and surroundings. We suggest that the major magnetic anomalies in the area are related to a wide underplating and propose that this volume represents the first stage of the back-arc Adria continental breakup in Early Permian times. During the Palaeotethys-Adria collision, underplating has ...Paolo Mancinelli, Vittorio Scisciani, Cristina Pauselli, Gérard M. Stampfli, Fabio Speranza, Ivana Vasiljević. Identification of the Best Available Renewable Energy Source for Electricity Production in Serbia
Around 2/3 of electricity production in Serbia originates from coal-fired thermal power plants. The most significant domestic coal deposits are lignite deposits, a type of low -quality coal that causes negative health, climate and environmental impacts during the combustion. To reduce those negative impacts on domestic electricity production and to promote environmental awareness, the Serbian Energy Sector Development Strategy and the National Action Plan for Use of Renewable Energy Sources indicate the plan for increasing the share of ...Strategija obnovljive energije, Održiva energija, Proizvodnja električne energije, Solarna energija, Biomasa, Hidroenergije, Energija vetra... environment-friendly national electricity sector. From DELA Based Dictionary to Leximirka Lexical Database
Biljana Lazić, Mihailo Škorić (2020)In this paper, we will present an approach in transforming Serbian language Morphological dictionaries from a DELA text format to a lexical database dubbed Leximirka. Considering the benefits of storing data within a database when compared to storing them in textual documents, we will outline some of the functionality that the database has made possible. We will also show how hand-made rules that use category labels lexical entries are marked with can be used to link lexical entries. ...... dependent, and were appropriately marked in DELA dictionaries.
