Mesozoic carbonate rocks in Serbia used as dimension stone
Vesna Matović, Tijana Vojnović Ćalić (2016)The building industry in Serbia uses, to a great extent, imported natural stone for architectural purposes. The significance of local deposits, particularly limestones, is not adequately perceived despite the country’s abundance of these valuable resources. Therefore, this study focuses on Serbia’s Mesozoic carbonate rocks, specifically on the deposits of four selected quarries: Klisura, Skrzut, Struganik, and Tisnica. The quality and prospects of the application of these limestones has not yet been the subject of a detailed, comprehensive investigation. Therefore, ...... this research. A new evidence for pachyostotic snake from Turonian of Bosnia-Herzegovina
Microstructural and magnetic properties of electrospun hematite/cuprospinel composites
Phase composition, microstructural and magnetic properties of electrospun hematite/cuprospinel composites were investigated. Samples were synthesized starting with 0 to 10 mol% of copper relative to iron. The round shape of reference electrospun fbres was preserved upon their heating up to 600 °C in air, whereas at 700 °C hollow substructure was additionally formed. In these reference samples the presence of hematite phase was detected by XRPD. A small amount (traces) of Fe3O4 /γ-Fe2O3 was also found, due to the ...Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Condensed Matter Physics, Atomic and Molecular Physics and Optics, Electronic, Optical and Magnetic MaterialsMira Ristić, Aleksandar Kremenović, Michael Reissner, Željka Petrović, Svetozar Musić. Influence of mono- and two-component organic modifiers on determination of lipophilicity of tetradentate Schiff bases
The infuences of the application of mono- and two-component organic modifers on lipophilicity determination of 12 tetradentate Schif bases by reversed-phase thin layer chromatography were investigated. Life Cycle Assessment of Individual Wood Biomass Heating Systems in Households
The use of solid fuels (wood biomass and coal) for heating of households continues to be common practice within European countries. Solid fuel combustion in households contributes more than 46% to total emissions of fine particulate matter. Asbestos-Based Pottery from Corsica: The First Fiber-Reinforced Ceramic Matrix Composite
Asbestos-containing pottery shards collected in the northeast of Corsica (Cap Corse) and dating from the 19th century, or earlier, have been analyzed by SEM-EDS, XRPD, FTIR and Raman microspectroscopy. Blue (crocidolite) and white (chrysotile) asbestos fiber bundles are observed in cross-sections. An Approach to Efficient Processing of Multi-Word Units
Efficient processing of Multi-Word Units in the course of development of morphological MWU dictionaries is not easy to achieve, especially when languages with complex morphological structures are concerned, such as Serbian. Manual development of this type of dictionaries is a tedious and extremely slow process. To alleviate this problem we turned to our multipurpose software tool, dubbed LeXimir, in the production of lemmas for e-dictionaries of multi-word units. In addition to that, we developed a procedure aimed at making ...... procedure cannot be applied. We will illustrate this with two examples.
