Ukratko jeprikazana proizvodnje nafte u Libiji, njene karakteristike i rezerve, da bi se videoznačaj ovog naftnog polja.Utvrđeno je da su na naftnom polju Amal ključni problemi koji prate procesproizvodnje taloženje parafina, pojava slojnog peska, neefikasan rad gasliftsistema, neefikasna desalinizacija nafte i ekološki problemi.
