Hypogene karst associated with igneous intrusions and its influence on the subsequent karst evolution in high mountains (Central Andes, Peru)
Carbonate rocks of Cretaceous age are wide spread in the Peruvian Andes. The studied area in the eastern part of the Cordillera Occidental, near a large igneous intrusion and a skarn deposit, exemplifies polygenetic and multi-phase karst development. Hypogene karstification is related to a hydrothermal activity associated with a magmatic event at ca. 11-9.7 Ma responsible for the emplacement of the nearby intrusion and related alteration of the carbonate rocks. It has resulted in deep-rooted, laterally isolated stair-case-rising shaft ...Alexander B. Klimchouk, Saša Milanović, Cristian Bittencourt. Fuzzy Model for Risk Assessment of Machinery Failures
The main goal of this research was the development of an algorithm for the implementation of negative risk parameters in a synthesis model for a risk level assessment for a specific machine used in the mining industry. Fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic theory, in combination with statistical methods, were applied to analyze the time picture state of the observed machine. Fuzzy logic is presented through fuzzy proposition and a fuzzy composition module. Using these tools, the symmetric position of the ...... incidents are called risky events. In general, it can be said that an event that can influence the outcome of a defined objective (preventing, disabling, or slowing down the realization of a goal) can be considered a risky event. Punctuated, episodic magmatism and mineralization of the Rogozna skarn-hosted Au-Zn-Pb-Cu deposits revealed through high-precision U-Pb zircon geochronology
The subvolcanic regions of magmatic centers are commonly associated with alteration, mineralization, and economic ore deposits, however the duration and frequency of mineralizing pulses within the overall lifespan of these centers can be poorly defined. Therefore, models for the formation of mineral systems require more highprecision geochronology data to refine their evolutionary models. Rogozna Mountain and its eponymous magmatic complex, located in SW Serbia, hosts multiple base metal deposits associated with variable rock types and structural expressions and serves as a natural laboratory to ...Skarnovska mineralizacija, Magmatsko-hidrothermalni sistemi, Subvulcanske intruzije, geohronologija na cirkonima, CA-ID-TIMSSean P. Connections between the Levant and the Balkans in the late Middle Pleistocene: Archaeological findings from Velika and Mala Balanica Caves (Serbia)

Rink, Senka Plavšić, Mirjana Roksandić (2022)Major changes in the technological, economic, and social behavior of Middle Pleistocene hominins occurred at the onset of the Middle Paleolithic, 400e200 ka. However, until recently it was not possible to establish when, where, and how certain forms of Middle Paleolithic behavior appeared and spread into Southeastern Europe, mainly owing to gaps in the Paleolithic record. Here we report new results of dating, material culture, and the archaeological context of finds from the Balanica Cave Complex in Sicevo (Serbia). ...Dušan Mihailović, Steven L.
