A Knowledge-Based Approach to Mine Ventilation Planning in Yugoslav Mining Practice
Ventilation system analysis is a complex process based on the calculation and analysis of numerous parameters. These problems can be successfully solved by the SimVent numerical package, but a full understanding and use of the obtained results require the involvement of an experienced specialist in the ventilation field. The solution was found in the creation of a hybrid system INVENTS, whose knowledge base represents a formalization of the expert knowledge in the mine ventilation field. In this paper, we ...... 03:36:16 A Knowledge-Based Approach to Mine Ventilation Planning in Yugoslav Mining Practice Nikola Lilić, Ivan Obradović, Ranka Stanković Дигитални репозиторијум Рударско-геолошког факултета Универзитета у Београду [ДР РГФ] A Knowledge-Based Approach to Mine Ventilation Planning in Yugoslav Mining ...

Design of the Opencast Coal Mine Drmno Dewatering System
Development of mining in the opencast mine Drmno from Kostolac basin in Serbia is carried out in the increasingly complex geological and hydro geological conditions with the decline of the coal seams to the alluvial part of Europe's largest river Danube. Greater depth and inflow of groundwater significantly increase costs for dewatering facilities construction with the requirement for optimizing of this more and more important surface mining process. An Approach to Management Decision Support: The Coal Mine Pljevlja Management Information System
In this paper we describe the approach that has been used in the development of the Management Information System (MIS) in the Coal Mine Pljevlja in Montenegro. The methodology of this approach was based on new information technologies and management techniques which have already been successfully applied in other related fields. Its main goal was to introduce modern management techniques to mining, adapted to specific features of the mining industry, its operations and environment, thus enabling the tactical management ...... of TIS as a starting point for the construction of an e-mine.
Mine ventilation system planning using genetic algorithms
The most common problem in contemporary mining practice related to the planning and analysis of ventilation systems is the optimization of partially regulated air distribution in mine ventilation networks. This paper presents a two step optimization procedure for partly regulated air distribution in mine ventilation networks. The first step is the determination of air distribution in all branches using the well known Hardy-Cross method. In the second step the distribution and parameters of air flow regulators with minimum engaged ...coal, lignite, and peat; ventilation systems; coal mining; underground mining; ventilation; mathematical models; design; air flow; optimization; calculation methodsNikola Lilić, Ranka Stanković, Ivan Obradović. Application of MCDA in the determination of optimal block size for open-pit modelling and mine planning
The process of creating a geological block model as the basis for a further detailed design and planning of mining operations is a very responsible task. Errors made during this initial process are transferred to all other phases of the mining project. Certainly, one of the most important decisions for the modelling process is the choice of the appropriate size of the blocks that form the model itself. The determination of the optimal block size is not a simple ...dimenzije minibloka, višekriterijumska analiza, AHP, modeliranje ležišta, planiranje na površinskim kopovimaPetar Marković, Dejan Stevanović, Milica Pešić Georgiadis, Mirjana Banković. Conversion of land areas after coal mine closure and reclamation
U ovom članku je dat pregled najpopularnijih metoda rekultivacije zemljišta i mogućnosti rekultivacije zemljišta nakon završetka rekultivacije i zatvaranja rudnika uglja.... . It is important to point out that the defined model can be used in all planning and exploitation phases of an open pit mine, regardless of whether it is a new mine or an open mine where exploitation is carried out. The iterative nature of the model enables corrective measures during the implementation ...

Improving efficiency of thermal power plants through mine coal quality planning and control
