Constitutive Model for Analysis of Long-Term Municipal Solid Waste Landfill Settlement
Irena Basarić Ikodinović, Dragoslav Rakić, Mirjana Vukićević, Sanja Jocković, Jovana Janković Pantić (2022)Large long-term settlement occurs at the municipal solid waste landfills over an extended period of time which may lead to breakage of the geomembrane, damage of the cover systems, other protective systems or facilities constructed on top of a landfill. Also, municipal solid waste is an extremely heterogeneous material and its properties vary over location and time within a landfill. These material characteristics require the formulation of a new constitutive model to predict the long-term settlement of municipal solid ...Irena Basarić Ikodinović, Dragoslav Rakić, Mirjana Vukićević, Sanja Jocković, Jovana Janković Pantić. Ecological status of the Lim river alluvium in Serbia
Amel Kurbegović, Boris Vakanjac, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Mirjana Bartula, Zorana Naunović, Nikola Milovanović, Jovan Kovačević (2022)Three countries share the catchment of the Lim River and they have been engaged in an eco-logical struggle for years, to conserve the river, its tributaries, and biodiversity. Honoring international conventions and declarations, along with active involvement of the civil society and support of Eu-ropean Union agencies, major efforts are being made to draw attention to the degradation of nature, especially water, which is essential for life on the planet Earth. Considering that natural resources are limited and that ...Amel Kurbegović, Boris Vakanjac, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac, Mirjana Bartula, Zorana Naunović, Nikola Milovanović, Jovan Kovačević. Size–strain line-broadening analysis of anatase/brookite (TiO2)-based nanocomposites with carbon (C): XRPD and Raman spectroscopic analysis
Aleksandar Kremenović, Mirjana Grujić-Brojčin, Nataša Tomić, Vladimir Lazović, Danica Bajuk-Bogdanović, Jugoslav Krstić, Maja Šćepanović (2022)A size-strain line-broadening analysis of the XRPD patterns and Raman spectra for two anatase/brookite (TiO2)-based nanocomposites with carbon (C) was carried out and the results compared with those of a similar sample free of carbon. The crystal structures and microstructures of anatase and brookite, as well as their relative abundance ratio, have been refined from XRPD data by the Rietveld method (the low amount of carbon is neglected). The XRPD size-strain analysis resulted in reliable structure and microstructure results ...Materials Chemistry, Metals and Alloys, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Optics, Electronic, Optical and Magnetic MaterialsAleksandar Kremenović, Mirjana Grujić-Brojčin, Nataša Tomić, Vladimir Lazović, Danica Bajuk-Bogdanović, Jugoslav Krstić, Maja Šćepanović. Adsorption and degradation of some psychiatric drugs by sol-gel synthesized titania-based photocatalysts: influence of tungsten and sodium content
Nina L. Finčur, Maja J. Šćepanović, Mirjana Grujić-Brojčin, Biljana F. Abramović, Jugoslav B. Krstić, Aleksandar Kremenović, Tatjana Srećković, Aleksandar Golubović (2019)Mesoporous anatase nanopowders were doped with 0.05−0.5 mol% of W6, in order to obtain more efficient photocatalyst than TiO2 Degussa P25 in the degradation of amitriptyline (AMI) under simulated solar irradiation (SSI). Dominant XRPD peaks were ascribed to anatase phase, with additional peaks which could correspond to brookite, TiO2 bronze and sodium titanate, Na2Ti9O19. The Raman scattering measurements have confirmed anatase as dominant phase, with broad Raman feature at ~270 cm−1 possibly related to Ti–O–Na stretching vibration. Photocatalytic Activity of the V2O5 Catalyst toward Selected Pharmaceuticals and Their Mixture: Influence of the Molecular Structure on the Efficiency of the Process
Sanja J. Armaković, Aleksandra Jovanoski Kostić, Andrijana Bilić, Maria M. Savanović, Nataša Tomić, Aleksandar Kremenović, Maja Šćepanović, Mirjana Grujić-Brojčin, Jovana Ćirković, Stevan Armaković (2023)Due to the inability of conventional wastewater treatment procedures to remove organic pharmaceutical pollutants, active pharmaceutical components remain in wastewater and even reach tap water. In terms of pharmaceutical pollutants, the scientific community focuses on -blockers due to their extensive (over)usage and moderately high solubility. In this study, the photocatalytic activity of V2O5 was investigated through the degradation of nadolol (NAD), pindolol (PIN), metoprolol (MET), and their mixture under ultraviolet (UV) irradiation in water. Connections between the Levant and the Balkans in the late Middle Pleistocene: Archaeological findings from Velika and Mala Balanica Caves (Serbia)
Dušan Mihailović, Steven L. Kuhn, Katarina Bogićević, Vesna Dimitrijević, Ana B. Marín-Arroyo, Jelena Marković, Norbert Mercier, Bojana Mihailović, Mike W. Morley, Predrag Radović, William J. Rink, Senka Plavšić, Mirjana Roksandić (2022)Major changes in the technological, economic, and social behavior of Middle Pleistocene hominins occurred at the onset of the Middle Paleolithic, 400e200 ka. However, until recently it was not possible to establish when, where, and how certain forms of Middle Paleolithic behavior appeared and spread into Southeastern Europe, mainly owing to gaps in the Paleolithic record. Here we report new results of dating, material culture, and the archaeological context of finds from the Balanica Cave Complex in Sicevo (Serbia). ...Dušan Mihailović, Steven L. Systematic excavations of Velika and Mala Balanica, and Peˇsturina (southern Serbia) revealed assemblages of Middle Paleolithic artifacts associated with hominin fossils and animal bones. This paper focuses on Pesturina Layer 4, radiometrically and biostratigraphically dated to Marine Isotope Stage (MIS) 5, which yielded traces of temporary hunting camps.
