Seasonal Variations of the Zapadna Morava River Water Quality
The water samples collected from four localities of the middle course of the Zapadna Morava River during 2020 were analyzed via the selected physicochemical parameters with the aim to estimate the quality of surface water. According to the results of selected physico-chemical parameters (pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, chemical oxygen demand, biochemical oxygen demand), analyzed surface water show a good chemical status, while the values of nutrient content (nitrate, nitrite, ammonium ion, total phosphorus) indicated the poor chemical status especially ...Nebojša Đ. Surface functional groups and degree of carbonization of selected chars from different processes and feedstock
Marija Ilić, Franz-Hubert Haegel, Aleksandar Lolić, Zoran Nedić, Tomislav Tosti, Ivana Sredović Ignjatović, Andreas Linden, Nicolai D. Jablonowski, Heinrich Hartmann (2022)The knowledge ofthe structural and chemical properties of biochars is decisive for their application as technical products. For this reason, methods for the characterization of biochars that are generally applicable and allow quality control are highly desired. Properties of fly ash and slag from the power plants
This paper describes the physical, chemical and mineral properties of ash and slag, which were taken from thermal power plants Nikola Tesla A, Nikola Tesla B, Kostolac A and Kostolac B. The knowledge of the mineralogical material composition is important because the type of minerals directly determines the properties of the fly ash and slag and their possible application. Laboratory tests showed that ash and slag samples consist of the following minerals: amorphous materials, quartz, feldspar, mullite, melilite, cristobalite, ...fly ash, slag, physical composition, chemical composition, mineral composition, X-ray diffraction method... cooled and extinguished in water. Hans Peter Nytoft, Geir Kildahl-Andersen, Sofie Lindström, Frode Rise, Achim Bechtel, Danica Mitrović, Nataša Đoković, Dragana Životić, Ksenija A. Stojanović (2019)Two previously unidentified dehydroabietane isomers were isolated from Miocene Serbian lignite and Rhaetian (Late Triassic) coaly mudstones from South Sweden and characterized using NMRspectroscopy as cis- and trans-dehydroicetexane. Both have a 9(10?20)-abeo-abietane or icetexane skeleton, consisting of a 6-7-6 tricyclic framework with seven carbons in ring B instead of the usual six in common diterpanes of the abietane-type. Dehydroicetexanes can be detected using GC-MS-MS in m/z 270?146 chromatograms without interference from dehydroabietane or other isomers. Determining the Groundwater Balance and Radius of Influence Using Hydrodynamic Modeling: the Case Study of the Groundwater Source “Šumice” (Kikinda, Serbia)
A groundwater flow model was developed to simulate groundwater extraction from the public water supply source of the City of Kikinda. The hydrodynamic model includes the municipal groundwater source of Kikinda (Šumice and the Jezero Well), but also an extended area where there are groundwater sources that provide water supply to three factories: (MSK, TM and LŽT - Kikinda). Application of the principle of circular economy to the thermal groundwater, the example of the municipality of Bogatić
There are about 360 locations of thermal and thermo-mineral waters in Serbia, whose water temperatures range from 14 to 98°C, which ranks Serbia as the richest European country in geothermal energy. The mentioned water resources (thermal and thermomineral waters) are used, mostly, for therapeutic purposes in spas and sports and recreational centers. The main problem that is present is the fact that they are not used in a rational and efficient way. The paper will give examples territorially related ...Marija Jovanović, Vesna Ristić Vakanjac.
