Atmospheric exposure vs burying: influences on damage intensity of built-in kersantite in the monument of the Small Staircase (Belgrade, Serbia)
A Knowledge-Based Approach to Mine Ventilation Planning in Yugoslav Mining Practice
Ventilation system analysis is a complex process based on the calculation and analysis of numerous parameters. These problems can be successfully solved by the SimVent numerical package, but a full understanding and use of the obtained results require the involvement of an experienced specialist in the ventilation field. The solution was found in the creation of a hybrid system INVENTS, whose knowledge base represents a formalization of the expert knowledge in the mine ventilation field. Application of Peleg model on mass transfer kinetics during osmotic dehydratation of pear cubes in sucrose solution
Vesna Pavelkić, Tanja Brdarić, Marija Petrović, Gavrilo Šekularac, Milica Košević, Lato Pezo, Marija Ilić (2015)The applicability of Peleg model was investigated for predicting mass transfer kinetics during the osmotic dehydration (OD) process of pears, at different concentrations (40, 60 and 70%, w/w) and temperatures (20, 35 and 50 °C) of sucrose solution. Increase in sucrose solution concentration resulted in higher water loss (WL) and solid gain (SG) values through the osmotic treatment period. After 360 min of osmotic treatment of pears, WL ranged from 23.71 to 31.68% at 20 °C, from 24.80 to ...Vesna Pavelkić, Tanja Brdarić, Marija Petrović, Gavrilo Šekularac, Milica Košević, Lato Pezo, Marija Ilić. The Late Devonian contraction along the Precaspian Basin north margin: Transpressional range building in the intracratonic domain
Novak Novčić, Marinko Toljić (2023)The evolution of intraplate sedimentary basins located in the vicinity of an active convergent plate boundary is often controlled by the collisional dynamics of the adjacent orogen. The transfer of compression from the orogen to the platform's interior results in the formation of complex structural geometry and kinematics that often reactivate older crustal faults, focus far-field stresses and control the evolution of associated sedimentary basins. One place where this localisation can be optimally understood is the Precaspian Basin, situated ...Intrakratonske deformacije, transpresija, kosa kompresija, krustalni rasedi, intrakratonski transfer stresa, kontrakcioni blokoviNovak Novčić, Marinko Toljić. The conditions under which contemporary surface mining operations is carried out obviously becoming increasingly complex. In such complex conditions, the optimization of haulage systems as the technological phase with the largest share in the total operating costs, is very important from the aspect of achieving profitability of the mining project. Rock slope stability analysis under Hoek–Brown failure criterion with different flow rules
The stability analysis of homogeneous rock slope following the Hoek–Brown failure criterion under the hypothesis of different flow rules is performed based on limit equilibrium and finite element methods. The applied failure criterion is the generalized Hoek–Brown that can be introduced as a shear/normal function in analysis applying different flow rules. The results are compared with those obtained by the application of equivalent shear strength parameters of the Mohr–Coulomb criterion, considering that this is still the most widely used ...Kružna klizna površ, Huk-Braunov kriterijum loma, Kriterijum popuštanja, Smičuća/normalna funkcija, Nivo napona, Verovatnoća i parametarska analizaSvetlana Melentijević, Zoran Berisavljević, Dušan Berisavljević, Claudio Olalla Marañón . Stratigraphic implications of the Mio-Pliocene geodynamics in the area of Mt. Avala: new evidence from Torlak Hill and Beli Potok (Belgrade, Serbia)
Mt. Avala is located on the southern margin of the Pannonian basin (SPB), a border zone between the uplifted morphostructures of the Dinarides and Carpathian-Balkanides. Similar to the Pannonian basin, tectonostratigraphic evolution of the Mt. Avala area during the last 23 Ma has is characterized by syn- and post-rifting processes as well as tectonic inversion. Numerical modeling of Selanac debris flow propagation using SPH code
The Selanac debris flow is a very huge event triggered after extreme rainfall caused by Cyclone Tamara activity in the Republic of Serbia in May 2014. The Selanac case study was already modelling in different programs using Voellmy rheology assumptions like RAMMS software. Main rheological parameters are back-calculated using also ...... poorly sorted material, started to flow down the slope as a result of motion of solid and fluid phase.
