Determining the Groundwater Balance and Radius of Influence Using Hydrodynamic Modeling: the Case Study of the Groundwater Source “Šumice” (Kikinda, Serbia)
A groundwater flow model was developed to simulate groundwater extraction from the public water supply source of the City of Kikinda. The hydrodynamic model includes the municipal groundwater source of Kikinda (Šumice and the Jezero Well), but also an extended area where there are groundwater sources that provide water supply to three factories: (MSK, TM and LŽT - Kikinda). Hydrodynamic modeling, based on the numerical method of finite differences will show the groundwater balance of the sources in the ...Dušan Polomčić, Dragoljub Bajić, Jelena Zarić. Geochemistry of neutral mine drainage at sulfide deposits ‒ example of the „Grot“ Pb-Zn mine, South-Eastern Serbia
Koncentracije metala u ovim vodama (cinka, olova, barijuma, bakra i hroma) generalno su niske i većina uzoraka voda ispunjava kriterijume ...podzemne vode, kisele rudničke vode, hidrogeohemijski faktori, metali, PHREEQC modeliranje, indeks saturacijeSnežana Kretić, Jana Štrbački, Nebojša Atanacković. Heavy metals in lignite and soil of Kostolac-Kovin coal basin, eastern Serbia - comparative analysis with selected cities in Serbia, region, Europe and world
Bogoljub Vučković, Bojan Dimitrijević (2023)The Kostolac-Kovin coal basin with an area of 320 km2, with 5 separate layers of coal and with a total of about 5.7 Bt of geological resources and reserves represents an exceptional potential for coal production in Serbia. The coal resources listed in this way are not fully exploitable, but they represent potential for consideration. In this paper, we deal with the geochemical characteristics of coal seams and perform a comparative analysis of coal affectation on the environment. With ...... Atmospheric exposure vs burying: influences on damage intensity of built-in kersantite in the monument of the Small Staircase (Belgrade, Serbia)
Production of electricity from coal-fired power plants and accompanying CO2 emissions: comparison of EU-27 and US
Even in the third decade of the 21st century, large power plants are still responsible for more than half of the electricity production in Europe and US. They predominantly use fossil fuels in their work, which results in the emission of pollutants into the air, soil and water. In addition to the production of electric energy, fossil fuels, including coal, are used for industrial purposes. Although the use of coal, especially in the countries of the European Union, is ...... carbon dioxide (CO) from the energy and industrial plants increased by about 1% or 321 Mt in 2022 to a new record value of 36.8 Gt [2]. Analysis of the exhaust emissions inventory from auxiliary mining machines
Stevan Đenadić, Aleksandar Mirković, Jovana Mitrović, Filip Miletić, Predrag Jovančić, Dragan Ignjatović (2023)Open-pit coal mines are equipped with a large number of mining machines and vehicles with diesel engines. Due to common daily operation of these machines and vehicles large amounts of exhaust gases which contain numerous pollutants are emitted into the atmosphere. The demand to reduce air pollution induced the activities in developed countries to map and calculate all gases emitted by industries to formulate and select adequate preventive activities. In collaboration with machine manufacturers, emission standards for off-road machines ...Stevan Đenadić, Aleksandar Mirković, Jovana Mitrović, Filip Miletić, Predrag Jovančić, Dragan Ignjatović. Correlation Between Dynamic CBR and Compaction and Bearing Capacity of Pavement Foundation Layers
This paper presents a dynamic California Bearing Ratio (CBRd) device that can be used on a prepared pavement foundation layer to obtain a certain parameter of the tested material in the laboratory and in situ in a direct and fast way. For the selected natural material (gravel), it is shown that the laboratory CBRd can be used to estimate the compaction and bearing capacity, because it correlates well with the parameters of the standard and modifed Proctor compaction tests. ...korelacija parametara, donji slojevi saobraćajnica, laboratorijska i terenska ispitivanja, dinamički kalifornijski indeks nosivosti CBRd... modulus of deformation (E„) [13, 14|.
